Best use

A lead magnet is a short book given away for an email address. It is read in one sitting, it solves one narrow problem completely, and its real product is the reader's permission to hear from you again.

02

Recommended structure

Keep it to five or six short chapters around a single result. Open with the problem, deliver the method quickly, include one thing the reader can do today, and close by naming what you can help with next.

03

What a finished version should include

A cover that reads at thumbnail size on a sign-up page, a first page that gets to the point, and an ending that points somewhere. Around six thousand words — long enough to be a book, short enough to be finished.

Worked example

The plan the studio would build for Morning Cup

A lead magnet planned the way the structure above says, in the order its contents page would show. Every line is an editable chapter in the studio.
